Father: Thomas BOTTS I b: ABT 1650 in England no other info.

The Botts family was found in Stafford and Prince William Counties. A ThomasBotts died in Stafford Mar 9, 1742.

"The place & date of birth of Thomas Botts, earliest ancestor named in existing family records, has not been ascertained. Traditionally, he was a son of one of two (or three) brothers who came early from England to America. It is believed that he was born in Northampton Co. Va. 1672-76, a son of Thomas Botts, Sr. A chart made by Ann E. (Botts) Rhodes in 1860 gives her line of descent from thomas Botts (d. 1742), with notation 'Botts from England'; the Rhodes family history (pub. 1893) states that her ancestors 'were originally from England.'" Source: The Rhodes Family in America, p. 368.

The Botts families were tillers of the soil. In 1711, Thomas Botts of Richmond County, Virginia received land from Catherine Lady Fairfax of England. This 198 acres is in the "Northern Neck of Virginia." the location of this land is in the head of the branches of the middle arm of the Chapawamsick in Stafford County, Virginia. Source: John R.
