James Ayre had a copy of the letter written by Harvey. His
research is packed up by a relative and we have not had access.
Just before Harvey's death in 1889, Harvey wrote a letter about
his ancestry. In 1971, this letter was in the possession of a
retired general living in VA, a great grandson of Judge Harvey
(wish I had his name and address). The letter states that his
great grandfather was old Capt Daniel Harrison of Rockingham Co.
VA. His grandmothers were White and Glass.
When they died they had 48 g-chi, 45 g-g-chi, 1 g-g-grandchild.
They lived in Hazel Hill Twp.
In 1829 or 30 they came in a one-horse cart to Missouri and
located near Dover in Lafayette Co, where they stayed a few
years before coming on to Johnson Co. He settled 300 acres,
part of which was Government land. Several brothers came to
Missouri with them.
During the Civil War he moved to Warrensburg, where he served as
Justice of the Peace and Judge. Shown History of Johnson Co, MO
p 469, 852, 893. They show census Warrensburg 1850 p 008 and
Hazel Hill Twp 1860 p 745.
Zilpha's bros, Paris Dooley Bell and James Daniel Bell came at a
later date. James D. Bell settled on land joining Harvey and
Zilpha. Purchase was most likely arranged by Harvey Harrison. A
third bro, Robert Allen Bell also purchased land, but stayed in
Mississippi.
One of Harvey's bros must have been John C. Harrison, who shows
in wills & adms 10-28-1847, with Harvey Harrison as adm with
securities Joseph Harrison and Joseph H. Bell, who was son of
Paris Dooley Bell, bro of Zilpha.

Jensy Higgenbotham married twice. Her first husband was Joseph
Milton McKenzie. After his death in 1843 she married Thomas J.
Keese in 1846. She lived her last years with Cousin Lucinda Kerr
DeVilbiss, according to Cousin Priscilla DeVilbiss of Pearsall.
The rest of the family appears to have come by boat to Matagorda
Bay in the spring of 1839. Jensy Higgenbotham married Joseph
Milton McKenzie and came then. The McKenzie family of seven
probably traveled with Polly and William P. Kerr and children,
Tom Higgenbotham and his wife, Levicy, and Martha Ann
Higgenbotham.
Joseph McKenzie appears on the tax roll of Victoria County in
1840. Linnville was in Victoria County. He later moved his
family to Gonzales County, near Prairie Lea. He died there 17
Oct. 1843. Joseph and Jensy Higgenbotham McKenzie had five
children. They were:
Mary Jane b 31 March 1826 m. 1st John H. FINCH 2nd James
AMBERSON
Thomas Newton b 31 Jan 1828 m. Mary Jane WALLER
Martha Isabelle b 6 April 1830 m. Leasle HARRIS
