Alice F. Hills sent the HFA a newspaper clipping from the
Lexington "Herald Leader" 7/11/93, about an old house,
"Keenland",about 1790,Col Abraham Bowman's daughter, Mary
"Polly" and her husband owned where they entertained General
Layfayette, in 1825, friend of Abraham and to whom John Keene
became aide-de-camp. The two story brick home was built about
1805.HFG June 1995.
Date of birth from Charles E. Bowman Researcher.
Reference to the Great Grandsons of Col Abraham Bowman: J. O.
and Hamilton Keene. Obit of J.O. who died in Detroit MI in 1943.
