"Charles VI (1380-1422) Charles VI, "the Foolish one" or "the
Beloved" (1368-1422), born in Paris, king at 12 years by the
death of his/her father, Charles V , in 1380, reached madness
twelve years later.
The beginning of its reign was marked by new disorders in the
various cities (revolt of Maillotins in Paris) and in certain
areas (revolt of Tuchins in Auvergne and Vivarais) (1382).
Its madness was the origin of greatest misfortunes for France,
torn between the two factions of the Armagnacs and Burgundian,
in prey at the same time with the civil war and the foreign war
(new English invasion and new disastrous defeat of the nobility
French with Azincourt, 1415), finally delivered by the treason
of the duke of Burgundy, Philippe the Good, and of the Isabeau
queen to king d' Angleterre, Henri V (treated of Troyes, 1420)."
