Father's Probate records and division of land, Bedford County, VA 1829 Copy of Deed Record page 172 October 1839, Bedford County, VA, Melancthon and Nancy Turner to Edward Hunter

Nancy is mentioned in personal documents as "Aunt Nancy" who moved to MO with her brothers. Also referred as one sister and 4 brothers who moved to MO.

From G.W. Wood:
"About 1839 ten years after Jeremiah Sr.'s death, Wood siblings John, Thomas, Wesley, Bird and Nancy with spouses and children in tow, formed a wagon train with about 40 neighbors (Dooley's, Sharps and Karnes) and headed west for Missouri. John's family settled in Clay County, and the rest settled in Buchanan County (except Wesley who continued on to Iowa).
Jeremiah Jr. followed several years later with their mother, Polly and settled in Buchanan County. Sisters Mary and Demartha stayed behind in Bedford County.
