JOHN RIDGELY, (6--4), of "Hampton," Baltimore Co., Md., b. Jan. 9, 1790; the second son of Gen. Charles Ridgely Carnan, who by special act of the Legislature, July 28, 1790, changed the arrangement of his name, and became Charles Carnan Ridgely. His said son John Ridgely, inherited "Hampton." He m. (first) Oct. 15, 1812, Prudence Gough Carroll, dau. of James and Sophia (Gough) Carroll; (second) Jan. 8, 1828, Eliza Eichelberger Ridgely, dau. of Nicholas G. Ridgely. Issue by second marriage:


7--1. Eliza, b. Oct. 28, 1828; d. March 3, 1894; m. (first) John Campbell White, son of Stevenson and Priscilla Hill Dorsey (Ridgely) White; (second) Dr. Thomas H. Buckler, of "Causeway," Baltimore Co., Md., and had issue.
7--2. CHARLES, b. March 22, 1830; of whom later.
7--3. Priscilla, b. Dec. 31, 1831; d. Jan. 19, 1833.
