Cornelius Kincheloe Stribling, Sr. was born 28 Feb 1833 Pickens
Co AL and died 31 December 1918 Throckmorton Shackelford Co TX.
He was a surveyor, judge, realtor, and an ordained Baptist
minister. His first wife, Callie Augusta Glover died in 1860
less than a year after their marriage.
C. K. entered Terry's Rangers in Co. C, 8th TX Cavalry
Confederate Regt. as a 1st Sgt. He met and fell in love with his
second wife, Nancy Caroline Stribling, (a cousin) during the
Civil War when he sent out to search for food for the horses.
They were married at Fair Play, Ocone Co SC 1865. Pictures of
this Cornelius Kincheloe Stribling and Nancy Caroline
(Stribling) Stribling are in Stribling MyFamily.
His grandparents were Capt Thomas Stribling III (Jr.) and
Elizabeth "Betsy" Haile.
His ggrandparents were Thomas Stribling II (Sr.) and Nancy Ann
Kincheloe.
His gggrandparents were Thomas Stribling I, and Elizabeth
Taliaferro.
Parents of Nancy Caroline (Stribling) Stribling were David Sloan
Stribling and Joe Anna Croxton Hodges. Her grandparents were
Jesse Stribling and Elizabeth Sloan. Her ggrandparents were
Thomas Stribling, II (Sr.) and Nancy Ann Kincheloe. Her gg
grandparents were Thomas Stribling, I, and Elizabeth
