His daughters Ann and Orpah divided another 300 acres adjoining
their brothers. A condition in the will gave the brothers first
chance at the land if Ann or Orpah decided to sell. Ann and
Orpah also recieved "Each of them one steear and heffer as all
so all the Cattell and hogs that is known by the name of
tharne."
Joseph left his third wife Sarah "the use of Eight thousend
Cornhills that is in the Ground for so much part of Each Sons
Plantation with Liberty of pastoring timber and fewell for hur
use and privelig in the barn and - - - to dress victels in and
the use of the South Loer Rume of the dwelling house during her
wido hood."
He left his daughter Elizebeth Bundy "one Neagro woman with all
hur increese that She hath had or may here after have."
To his daughter Jane Jones, he left, "one neagro woman with all
hur increese and one large Kittell."
He left his son John three slaves named Sharp, Moses and Ester,
one silver spoon, a large Bible, a hand mill, two cows and one
yoke of oxen.
His daughter Ann Barrow was to receive two Negros, Hannah and
Rose, 30 pounds Virginia money, one old silver spoon, one bed
and furniture, one coat, a small trunk, one large pewter dish,
two cows and 6 pewter plates.
Orpah inheirted three Negros, Jenney, Venus and Soloman, one
large trunk, one small trunk, a large pewter dish, six pewter
dishes, two cows, a bed and furniture and one large brass
kettle.
He left his wife Sarah "all the Goods and Chattells that I have
with her - - - and my best beed and furneture and five hundred
weight of pork and one hundred weight of Beef and fore Barrells
of Corn and fore bushells of wheat one Cow and one sow and pigs
or with pigs and one ew . . .also the labor of my neagro Sufina
during the wido hood of my wife and then to Return to my
heiars."
One grandson, William Barrow was mentioned in the will,
receiving a Negro girl named Amey. If he died without heirs the
girl was to return to the heirs of the donor.
He went on to say in his will: "If any of my fore children of
the body of my Second wife die unmarried . . . their part be
devided between my other children and if either die after
marrige and no ishew then one half to Return to the Estate of
the giver and the other half to the husband or wife of the
deceased."
To sons John and William - "all the cattell and hogs that is
known by the name of tharn."
The rest of the estate to be equally divided "among my Six
Children vis Elizebeth Bundy, Jane Jones, John Barrow, Ann
Barrow, Orpha Barrow and William Barrow." Executors; sons Josiah
Bunday, John Barrow, William Barrow, and Ann Barrow and Orpha
Barrow.
Will dated 17 March 1754; probated January 1755."

From Goodspeed Bibliographies, 1887, Gibson County TN:
"James M. Hutchison was born in Rutherford County, Tenn., August
26, 1830, and his early days were spent on a farm and in
learning the tanner's trade. From 1850 to 1875 he farmed in
Gibson County, and at the latter date moved to Dyer, where he
now resides, engaged in milling with J. L. Berry. In 1877 he
entered into his present business, and is now running a flour
mill, cotton-gin and saw-mill.
In1849 he was united in matrimony to Elizabeth Overall, daughter
of Nace and Amelia H. (Davis) Overall, who were born in
Tennessee and Kentucky, respectively. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison
became the parents of seven sons and three daughters: Thomas P.,
Nace L., Alice A.(deceased), Ada M., Jesse E., Emerson E., James
E., Alvin L., Fountain M. and Vitilla (deceased). Mr. Hutchison
and family are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church South,
and he is of English descent and a Democrat in politics. His
parents, Thomas and Harriett (Dill) Hutchison, were born in
North Carolina."
