KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we, Wm. Garrett & Vincent
Vass are held and firmly bound unto Charles Dick, Joseph Brock,
Wm. Smith,Charles Washington & Robert Chew, Gentlemen Justices
of the County Court of Spotsylvania now sitting on the sum of
two hundred pounds current money of Virginia to the payment
whereof will and truly to be made to the said Justices we bind
ourselves and every of us and every of our heirs Extrs & Admin
jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our
seals this 16th day of Nov1770.
THE CONDITION of this obligation is that whereas the above bound
William Garrett is appointed guardian to William, Thornton &
Minor, orphans of Thomas Mead, Dec'd if therefore the said
William Garrett Guardian as aforesaid his Exctrs & Admin. shall
well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said orphans all
such as now is due or shall appear to be due to the said orphans
when or as soon as the said orphans shall attain to lawfull age
or when thereto required by the said Justices their heirs or
successors or also save and keep _ of the said Justices their
heirs & successors from all trouble or damage that shall or may
accrue about the said Estate or Estates then the said obligation
to be void & of no affect otherwise to remain in full force &
virtue- -
