Abner received a grant of 326 acres 17 Jun 1796 in Montgomery
County, VA, on Pulma? Branch of Meadow Creek, a branch of Little
River waters, of New River adjoining Ezekiel Howard & Grant
No.34, pg 357.
Sometime prior to 1801 Abner Lester moved to Russell County
where he purchased land and settled for a few years." In 1832
Abner Lester applied for a Revolutionary War pension. From the
Montgomery List of War Records: "Sworn of Captain Daniel Triggs
Company 9, September 1777." Abnor Lester "24 Aug 1801 -Abner
purchased 80 ac in Russell Co., VA from Tho Hunt for 74 pounds
on the North fork of Indian Creek, Deed Book 3, Pg 232. 3Oct
1809 - Abner (Abern) & Martha sold this 80ac to Roddin Addison
for 120 pounds from Floyd Co., VA, Dee d Book 4, Pg 282.Land
