Amherst Co., VA Will Book 24 Pages 8-9; In the name of God amen, I Sarah E. Higginbotham of the County of Amherst and State of Virginia, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made at any time.
1st. I direct that all just debts, including funeral expenses and costs of administration, be paid by my executors.
2nd. I will, direct and bequeath all residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to my children who may survive me or their legal heirs equally share and share alike.
3rd. I appoint my daughter Mary L. Myers, who was Mary L. Higginbotham, and my son Samuel B. Higginbotham, both of the County of Amherst and State of Virginia Executors of this my last will and testament, and having full faith in their integrity, I direct that they be not required to give bond with security.
In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published declared this instrument as my last will and testament at the Fork of Buffalo in the County of Amherst and State of Virginia this 30th day of December 1898.
