"The following handwritten note was on file at Bellefountaine
Cemetery they were kind enough to forward. Just received it and
perhaps at a later date it may make some sense:
Begin note: #648 John Bingham and James Dunnica
Sept. 15. 1897 Met on the grounds John L. Dunnica (son of James
Dunnica) who had not been here for many years. He said John
Bingham was Entitled to 2/3 of the lot & his father to 1/3 -
said the Bingham family has been lost sight of by him - formerly
neighbors & lived on a part of the cemetery grounds purchased of
Col ? Fallon. The eldest son of James Dunnica is buried in the
lot. His widow Sallie B. Dunnica & his dau. Lilian H Dunnica are
the only members of the family living here - now at No. 3928
Delmar Ave. His address is No. 2 N. Randolph St. Chicago.
J B Gazzaur ?
Note: the letter does not mention James buried in Bellefontain
plot, only the eldest son who is buried there. This is
confusing. One of the first intermentes is a Franklin Dunnica in
1857 however did this come from another cemetery or due to a
death in 1857. plot map does not refernce grave number? This
grave is under what appears to be monument."
Trying to establish all the relationships in Dunnica/Bingham
plot Bellefontain Cemetery.

Cemetery: St. Mary's Description: The first cemetery of Marshall
Mo., was located west of Marshall on what was known as the Old
Blue Book Highway, now Highway 20. Highway 65 was cut through
this cemetery and the stones were piled in corners and most of
them have since disappeared and what was the old Marshall
Cemetery is now being farmed. Virginia Montague Ruff copied the
following records from the courthouse of people who were living
in this area and may possibly have been buried in this cemetery.
