Hezekiah Perl/Purl/Pearl was my g-g-g-grandfather. He was born
in MD, 1788. The only 1790 MD Census names are Perrill/Perrell.
I have about what you have. He did have a another son, Enoch who
I have never found any record of except for him mentioned in
Hezekiah's 1851 will in Morgan Co, MO. Susan Elizabeth Pearl
daughter of Ambrose Lee Purl was my mother's grandmother. Susan
m. Hiram Messersmith and they lived their life together in
Morgan Co, MO. Hezekiah was in the War of 1812 in the Missouri &
Illinois Mounted Militia. Some written records say that a James
Sorrell was a relative but I have not been able to tell how. It
may be that Hezekiah's wife Sarah was a Sorrell. She was born in
Tennessee.
2nd marriage was to Elizabeth Roberts 7/3/1863. I have childrens
names from both familys but nothing on Frances Alphie Purl.
