Mary Beadles' book: "A History of Four Jackson Purchase
Families" has the most extensive genealogy of Isham Browder
(1762-1830).
Isham Browder (1762-1830) that I refer to m1 Rachel Slayden in
Goochland County VA and m2 Elizabeth Searce in Hopkins County
KY. His father's name was Isham who married his cousin Martha
Browder. Isham (1762-1830) also had a son named Isham, Jr.
"There are at least two branches (probably more) of Browders
that live(d) in KY. One came to Logan and surrounding counties
in early 1800's. There were 3(?) brothers and some sisters in
this initial migration from Dinwiddie County VA. The village
Browder KY is named for one of their descendants.
Another branch is from Hopkins County and thence to Hickman and
Fulton Counties; they spring from an Isham Browder (1762-1830)
who migrated there in 1790's. This is my branch, later
migrations took us all over of course, many to TX and some to
TN. (There are more Browder households in TN than in any other
state.) We do not know the exact connection between these two
branches as there is a missing link from Isham to his parents.
The earliest known Browder in America was Edmund Browder found
on 1704 VA Rent Rolls. Most of us probably descend from him."

"Browders, I am the Pastor at Browder's United Methodist Church
in Madisonville Ky. The Church was named after Isham Browder,
who donated the land, in our cemetary we have many browders
buried here, some you can barely read anymore.
I have that book on the purchase, about the Browders' also.
There is a lot of Browder history here, we are located on Hwy.
70 going to Greenville , just out side of Madisonville." (two
Browder Cemeteries in Hopkins County. The larger one is east of
Madisonville KY at the Browder Methodist Church. It is on land
given by Isham Browder (1762-1830) for the Church building and a
cemetery open to all. The other is north of Madisonville; I
think it perhaps is a family cemetery.)

Browder and Pernetta Pettus Jackson from a pamphet from the
genalogy library at the courthouse in Dixon KY.
DAR info as: Isham Browder b. 1762 Dinwiddie, VA d.1830 Hopkins
Co., KY. His wife, Rachel Slaton. His parents as: Isham Browder
b.1738 Prince George, VA and Martha Browder daughter of Richard
Browder and Mary Thompson. I have this Isham b.1738 as the son
of Arthur Browder. Somewhere in my notes, I have an Isham
Browder bap. about 1760 in Surry/Sussex Church records, son of
Isham Browder and Talitha (Tabitha?) Cox.
"The Isham Browder who was a soldier in the Revolutionary War
was NOT the son of Isham Browder who married his cousin Martha
Browder. That has been proven beyond any doubt. I have an Isham
