In November 1763, he purchased land on Louse Creek in that part
of Lunenburg County that became Charlotte the next year. He
remained there until 1779, when he moved to Georgia. During his
residence in Charlotte he kept an ordinary, as the March 1770
Court Orders show that he was granted a license to operate it.
he renewed it in 1771 and 1775.
WFT 8/2809 places Edmond as planter in Hanover and Pittsylvania
counties at some time, not given.
