Text: "There are several extant printed parish registers, and they abound with references to the BURTONS now and then. But the most interesting BURTON references I have found is in an extended list of marriages at ST. SAVIOR'S SOUTHWARK, in London. It is startlingly interesting because along with the references to BURTON marriages, I find nearly every name connected with the BURTONS of VIRGINIA on the surname lists. This old Register discloses that there must have lived there at the times stated, representatives of all the old Virginia families who settled in the colony with the BURTONS. Just as a matter of interest I append hereto some of them:
