"Mary, b. about 1642, died aft. 29 April 1718 (husbands will),
m. John Peterson, who died between will, 29 April 1718 and abt
March 1719/20. TSF says he was buried at Powder Point on the
property received from Mary's Father."
"Mary Soule (1), a daughter of George (1) and Mary (Beckett)
Soule, born in Plymouth or Dartmouth, Mass., May, 1624, was
"bound out" to John Winslow of Plymouth for seven years, Jan. 1,
1652, but her age and the cause were not given. The record
reads: "And in case the said Mary Sole do not change her
condition by marriage, she is to dwell with him the full term of
cight years." Rev. F. A. Soule, who has given this family
history much impartial study, writes: "I infer from this that
she was about ten years of age and that the full term of ten
years would have made her eighteen when she would have been
legally released from the contract."
