He graduated Central High School, Washington, D.C. as Captain of
the rifle team, winning the Chamber of Commerce medal in 1926.
He was captain of the Plebe team during his first year at
Carnegie Tech; and rated highest in scholastic standing of more
than 300 students in the freshman class of the College of Eng &
Ind. in Carnegie. He received a founder's scholarship;
captained the varsity team in 1928 and 1929. He was a member of
the DeWar team at Camp Perry in 1927, and was high man in the
rifle and pistol firing at the ROTC Camp at Fort Humphreys, a
member of the Scabbard and Blade, honorary miliary society;
appointed first lieutenant and supply officer of the 1st Bat. of
the Res. Officer's Training Corps regiment at the Carnegie
Institute of Technology, he finished in 1930.

rose to the rank of colonel of Georgia militia; was with General
Sumter in his Carolina campaign, 1780. He was born in Ireland;

Isham Andrews (1747-1845) enlisted, 1780, under Capt. George
Pegram, Col. Ralph Faulkner, Virginia. He served other
enlistments under different commands. Made application for
pension, 1833. He was born in Chesterfield County, Va.
Robert Quarterman (1744-86) appears in the list of Georgia
soldiers from Liberty County, where he was born and died.
Samuel Slaughter appears in a list of Georgia soldiers from
Baldwin County, where he died, 1821. He was born in Virginia.
Ezekiel Slaughter (1729-92) served as private in Col. Thwaite's
Virginia regiment. He was born in Virginia; died in Greene
County
