John de Hastings, 3rd Lord Hastings was the son of John
Hastings, Lord Hastings.2 He was born on 30 September 1286.2 He
married Juliane de Leyburn, Baroness Leyburn, daughter of Thomas
de Leyburn and Alice de Toni.1 He died on 20 January 1324/25 at
age 38.3
He gained the title of 3rd Lord Hastings.3 He succeeded to the
title of Lord Abergavenny [Feudal] in 1313.2

We found BLM land records for Attala Co., MS in which George
Maddox of Huntsville, Madison Co., AL purchased land adjacent to
our Daniel Moore (Parmelia's father-in-law) of Madison Co., MS
on the same date. Also the families of Lewis Finley (Parmelia
Maddox, Wilson's daughter married Lewis) and William Finley (he
married Elizabeth Wilson Maddox in 1833 in Madison Co., MS) we
found very closely tied to our Moores in Madison Co., MS, to
include executors, sureties and guardians in several different
Moore estates.
Our Parmelia Maddox and her husband James Alexander Moore, had
children James Benjamin and oldest daughter Lucy L. Moore.
Parmelia's brother, William Ellis Maddox graduated from Tulane
Medical School in 1860 and according to the university archives
listed Hunstville AL as a previous home town."
"We believe our Parmelia Cornelia Maddox who married James
Alexander Moore in 1852 in Madison Co., MS, and her brother
William Ellis Maddox are children of Benjamin Maddox and Lucy
Smith. It's possible that Benjamin is either a son of Wilson and
Elizabeth, or a nephew. Wilson also had a brother Benjamin and
they are reported as being the children of John Maddox and Mary
Boyd of Goochland Co., VA."
