Sarah

ABT 1640 - ____

ID Number: I82399

  • RESIDENCE: MD
  • BIRTH: ABT 1640
  • RESOURCES: See: notes NOT PROVEN [S3086]

Family 1 : Henry WILCOX
  1. +Mary Ann WILCOX
Family 2 : William LEWIS

Notes

"Sarah was the widow of William Lewis. Sarah and Henry's marriage is listed in [UL:Marriage Records of Maryland, 1634-1777:UL]. (C-635) It is conjecture that she is the mother of Samuel's wife, Mary Ann Wilcox, because we are not sure of Mary's birthdate. The Henry that married Sarah Lewis is also probably the same Henry that emigrated from England to Maryland and had a plantation named Mount Hope on the Chester River in Maryland. (C-635, 1206)"

George DUNAWAY

1764 - BET 1850 AND 0000

ID Number: I5514

  • RESIDENCE: Pike Co. MS
  • BIRTH: 1764, South Carolina
  • DEATH: BET 1850 AND 0000, Pike Co. Mississippi
  • RESOURCES: See: [S257]
Father: (RESEARCH QUERY) DUNAWAY

Family 1 : Clarissa OSBORNE
  1. +Cynthia DUNAWAY
  2.  Stephen DUNAWAY C.S.A.
  3.  Malinda DUNAWAY
  4. +Osborne S. DUNAWAY C.S.A.

Notes

George Dunaway Sr (listed as Sr. on the 1840 census of Pike Co, MS, but probably done by census taker to differentiate him from the younger George). He was listed on the 1850 census of Pike Co, MS, but not on the 1860 census so probably died between the times the two censuses were taken.

In the 1790's a George Dunaway is listed as a witness on several Warren Co, GA deeds. More than likely this is the same George that later shows up in Pike County, MS since George Sr. of Pike Co, MS did marry in 1814 Warren Co, GA.

Because of George Sr.'s age at the time of his marriage to Clarissa Osborne its possible this was a second marriage for him. Also listed with George and Clarissa in 1850 was Martha A. Cillam age 9 born in MS who was probably a granddaughter.

There is a George, Sr. and a George, Jr. On the 1840 Census. They are not father and son.

Count WALTER I (GAUTIER) de VEXIN of Amiens, Valois, Vexin

ABT 0925 - ABT 0992

ID Number: I53874

Father: RALPH VEXIN Count of Valois

Family 1 : ADELE de ANJOU Countess of Vexin & Anjou
  1. +ALIX de VEXIN
  2. +RAOUL II de VALOIS Count of Vexin
  3.  WALTER "the White" VEXIN II

Notes

"Per Weis' "Ancestral Roots. . ." (250:18), Count of Amiens, Valois, and the Vexin. Weis adds perentetically that this Walter was son of RALPH, COUNT OF VALOIS, which RALPH is either identical with no.17, or a son of no.17 with the same name. Turton in error calls Walter I son of Waleran. Stuart's "Royalty for Commoners" (185:36)."
