Will of Judith Dupuy Amelia County, Virginia, Book 3, Page 219:
In the name of god Amen, I Judith Dupuy of Amelia County living
in Nottoway Parish on flat creek being in a low state of health
but of perfect sound memory thanks be to God for it, do make &
ordain this my Last Will & Testament in manner & form following
after all my just debts are paid,
I give and bequeath to my four grandchildren viz., Elijah
Hundley, Charles Hundley, Ann Hundley & Elizabeth Hundley all
the profits of the Estate my late husband Peter Dupuy left me by
his last will & Testament all which I desire may be equally
divided between them.
Provided any of my aforesaid grandchildren should die before
they come to lawful age I desire what I leave to them may be
equally divided between all the survivors; my desire also is if
I should possessed or have a right to any thing else at my death
if may be disposed of in the same manner.
I desire there may be no appraisement of my Estate by order of
Court and Lastly I appoint my sons John Bartholomew Dupuy &
Peter Dupuy my whole & sole Executors of this my Last Will &
Testament hereby revoking disannulling making void all other
wills by me made & acknowledge this to be my Last Will &
Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the
fifteenth day of September Anno Dom. One thousand seven hundred
& eighty three.
