Examinacon thereof there being ten shill(s) charg'd for cureing
of a steer, the def:(t) objects ag:(t) it & doth in Court prove
that before the same was prform'd he did Order him satisfacon
for w(t) was done & forwarn him of meddling any more w(h) it,
upon wch Evidence y(e) sd Article is disallow'd & y(e) remaining
part of y(e) acc(t) being under ye(e) notice of the Court at
y(e) defend:(ts) request Order for a non suit is granted her
ag(t) y(e) plt w(h) costs als Exec.
WILL OF MARGARET LOCKETT
"In the name of God Amen--the 22 day of May 1708, I Margaret
Lockett of the Parish of Bristoll in the County of Henrico,
being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory,
Pleased be Almighty God, Do make and ordaine, constitute and
appoint this my last will and testament in manner follwoing,
first and principally I recommend my soul to God that gave it
to me hoping through the merits and mediations of Jesus Christ
my Redeemer to have full pardon and Remission of all my sins in
full and certain hope of a joyful Resurrection at the
last day and my body to the earth from whence it was taken, to
be buried in such decent manner as my executors hereafter shall
think fit and convenient, and for such worldly estate
as it hath Pleased God of his Infinite Goodness to bestow upon
me, I give and bequeath that as forthwith (Witz.)
"Imp. 1st. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth
Standly, one feather bed and boulster, being the same which I
usually lye on, with one Blanket and one cow commonly called
Duckey with whatever she shall increase after my Decease to her
and her heirs forever.
"Item-I give and bequeath to my sons Bejamin and Thomas Lockett
and my daughters Susan Griggs and Mary Mitchell to each and
every one of them one shilling sterling to be paid by my
executors hereafter named-all the rest of my estate of what
nature or quality soever I give and bequeath to my son James
Lockett and do make him whole and sole executor of this my last
will and Testament. Hereby Revoaking all other wills by me made.
In witness where of I have here to set myh hand and affixed my
seal the day and year above written.
