"At a meeting in 1728 Henrico County James Stanley Son of Thos Stanley of Hanover County took for his wife K/Catherine Hutchins. Their intentions were done on: This fifth Day of The Third month called May in the year the English -o Thousand Seven Hundred twenty and Eight. No Stanley or Hutchins signed for the couple".


"James Standley was born in 1688 in New Kent Co.,Va and baptized in Old Peters Church on April 15, 1688. James died in Hanover Co.,Va. on 7 Aug 1754; he was 66. James Standley's son, James Stanley, was born about 1708 in Henrico, Virginia. On 3 May 1728 James Stanley married Catherine Hutchins in the Friends Meeting, Henrico, VA. Catherine died in New Garden (Quaker), Guilford, NC on 20 Dec 1766; she was 58. Catheine was the daughter of Nicholas Hutchins & Mary Watkins. James and Catherine Stanley divorced".

Leo B. Swartz lived at Petersburg, near Scranton in 1817 and was one of the pioneers in that's section, where he owned considerable land.
