" Marriage Parmelia ?. 7 sons and 1 daughter in SC: Ransom Reuben, James Madison, William G., Thomas B., Absolem, Luther, Charner, and Rhoda AJ. The entire family left SC before 1850, less Reuben. The entire family went to Pontotoc Co., MS and lived until the Civil War in 1861. William and James owned property together in MS. All the men joined the Confederate Army by 1862. Rhoda married John Conaway and moved to AR (probably Dardenelle) Parmelia was living with her in 1870. William either died in the war or just after. His wife Rachel married a Thomas Webb after he died and had another son. [chastain-knight.FTW]"
