"Born near Nanjemoy in Charles Co. His wife, Anne
Harbert(Herbert ?), daughter o f William Harbert (Herbert?),
Gent. and wife Mary of Pickawaxon Hundred, was willed 500 acres
of "Clarke's Purchase". Information on pages 16,17,18. His
daughter,Elizabeth added a postscript to a letter from Colonel
Fairfax to George Washington at Mt. Vernon.
