"In 1663 he is mentioned as owning land adjoining George Major,
Richard Lee, John Chamberlin and John Lewis in Gloucester and
New Kent Counties, VA. His son was granted the land which "as
son and heir of John Fox", was his right as eldest son.On 16 Aug
1667 Mr. John Lewis was assigned land on borth sides of
Poropotank Swamp adjoining said Lewis plantaion by Old Womans
Point & adjoining Richard Major, Tomoty Lowdell, George Major,
John FOX, Richard Lee, John Chamberlain, to the mill."

"He was granted land in Petworth Parish of Gloucester County,
Virginia by Charles II on September 20, 1661. He also bought
land in New Kent County, Virginia.
John immigrated to America in 1663 or 1664/65 and went to New
Kent, Virginia, where a land grant of 1000 acres had been given
him by Charles II on September 20, 1661, adj. John Lewis (Mary
Jane a descendant).
He immigrated with Margaret Thomas, his children by Anne.
Captain John Fox commanded the "William and John." It sailed in
April 1659 from England to Virginia. The restoration of the
Stuarts (Charles II) to the throne of England was celebrated in
Virginia on 20 October 1660 on proclamation of the Governor. The
William and John was then in port in Virginia and its commander,
Captain John Fox, participated in the occasion. "The York County
Levy, October 1660, included a sum to pay Captain Fox for six
cases of drams and for 'firing his big guns.'"(Research):WFT CD
