St Tammany Parish, Louisiana 24 July 1806. Dvu 18 August 1878.
Methodist minister who preached at Hammond and Pipkin Chapel.
Married at Greensburg, St Helena Parish, 16 January 1830 (10
January 1830 per the Mormons who are wrong), MARY ("Aunt Polly")
ANN ("ANNIE") HODGES (born Greensburg 23 September 1808; died 13
June (or 16 June or 13 January) 1893), daughter of JOHN HODGES
and PHEREBY, née HARRELL. He is said to have been thrown out of
the family by his father. John bought his first negro slaves in
1838: a man named Charles and a woman and her two children named
Elijah and Emily."
