"The Campbell-Appomattox Co VA Alvises seem to descend from the
following man:
David Jr, b ca 1770 or earlier; he was in Goochland Co tax list
as ³Jr²; poss s/o George;
m 12 Nov 1790 (1?) Ann Comer, Goochland Co VA MR;
m 2 Nov 1792 (2?) Lucy Houchins, Goochland Co VA MR (either of
these marriages may be a different David, or they might be one
man, whose first wife died);
m 25 Nov 1825 (3?) Elizabeth Pritchett, Campbell Co VA MB.
There were 2 Davids in tax lists;
he was poss in Louisa Co 1797-8; Goochland: 1794-5; Louisa:
1797-8; Buckingham: 1800; 1807 surety Campbell Co, dt married in
1825;
1820 census Campbell Co VA: 300200/00000 (b 1794-1804), 1830:
00011001Š/00113001Š;
probable sons George (b 1792) & John (b ca 1800) were nearby in
1830, Francis (b 1805) at home; prob same as Daniel 1840:
00000001/000031001;
possible children: George, John, Francis A, Permelia, Mary,
Samuel, James, Joyassa.
Some of this family's records are in Hinshaw Encyclopedia of
Quaker Genealogy. Note I have no proof that James is a son of
David Jr, just geography. His unmarried sister Permelia and 2
children of his sister Joyassa/Joyce McCormack were with him in
censuses.
