possible kin to my William Standard. "testimony given by Elizabeth Filmer on Aug 24, 1650 and giving her age as 49 years. This would indicate that the mother-in-law of Thomas "Seagull" Green, who was Elizabeth (Standards) Filmer, was born about 1601. While this does not prove the estimated birth year of her daughter, Martha (Filmer) Green as about 1640, the fact that her mother was born in about 1601 sure does make her estimated birth year of about 1640 more believable. In fact she could have been born earlier than 1640, as her mother probably married about 1620, if she married at the normal marriage age for the times.
This also gives some credit to my theory that Martha Filmer may have been the FIRST wife of Thomas "Seagull" Green, and since we don't know when she died, the younger children may have been from a second wife, that no one has ever learned the name of. As we have discussed before, if Martha (Filmer) Green was born about 1640, she would have been 65 years old in 1705 when the younger children were born. Not impossible, but highly unlikely,
