ABT 1775 - AFT 1839

ID Number: I80595

  • BIRTH: ABT 1775
  • DEATH: AFT 1839
Father: Charles SWAN

Notes

Virginia Soldiers of 1776, Vol. 1 Affidavits.

"I send you a copy of old Mr. Swans declaration made some years ago, in order to get a pension under the law of 7 June, 1832. He is entitled to bounty land under an Act of the General Assembly of Va. You will see his name on the Va. roll as entitled to bounty land. This claim is now owned by our friend William Swan. His father assigned it to him three or four years ago, and I sent a copy of the Declaration and the Assignment to Col. Parriott and requested him to have the matter adjusted. The Colonel has since informed me that he left the papers with Col. Charles S. Morgan--please call on the Colonel and get the Assignment and put the matter in such train that the land can be gotten."
