It not clear he died in SC; as since his spouse family (and
possibly his) lived in that area; it possible he made a will out
in Charleston area and thus it acted on when he passed. Silas
(as son-in-law) was named in Jacob will as daughters Silah and
Ann who both named as Simmons (all daughters in will are named
by their married name). Only able to link Silah to Silas because
he named in Jacob and found his, Silas, on file naming her,
Silah, in it. Would need more time to do good search of Simmons
in Charleston as there are several dozen in index. got lucky on
Silas as had his name from Jacob papers....Email me at:
[email protected]
Both wills of Jacob and Silas were proved by Charles Lining,
Esquire O.C.T.D.
