Christensen intered the Navy Oct. 28 and took basic training at San Diego. Upon completion of the training he was sent to Oregon. He was returned to San
Diego July 1,1951 to attend Diesel school. He also received his fireman's rating at San Diego. He returned to Oregon in October.
He graduated from San Bernardino High school with the class of 1948.
Corporal Hunter was recalled to active duty on July 30,1950. He
spent a year in Korea before returning to the United States to be released from inactive duty.
After a short leave Lieutenant Johnson will report to the 10th infantry division Ft. Riley,Kansas.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lundberg of Kimberly, Minn.
He and his wife have two children, Leonard Lee,4, and Patricia, 2. Previous to his call to active duty in October 1950. Lieutenant Lundberg was service manager at the William Maloof firm in San Bernardino.
Sergeant Oliver is with the 1700th air tranport group,continental division M.A.T.S. Kelly Air Force base in Texas. He entered the Air Force in June 1951, and now is a flight mechanic on C-97 Stratofreighter.
He was a student at San Bernardino High school and was majoring in agriculture when he was called to active duty in September 1950.
Colonel Wieland is a former finance corps officer. He graduated from San Bernardino Senior High School in June of 1947.

Pfc. Ernest J. "Mike" Carpenter left England Oct. 27 for the United States where he subsequently was to be discharged. His wife,Joanne "Marnie" Carpenter reside at 1650 Walnut Street. Private Carpenter entered the Army four years ago. He has been in England the past seven months.
Warrant Officer Ralph B. Stokes of Hesperia, member of the Victorville Masonic lodge, was amoung other Mason from 29 states and five foreign countries during a recent meeting of the Yokuska Naval base lodge. He is a member of the 140th tank battalion's headquarters and service company.
Pfc. John E. Parham, 19 has arrived safely at Clark field in the Phillippine islands, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Parham of 229 Northh Riverside Ave. in Rialto. Private Parham graduated from San Bernardino High school with the class of 1950 and enlisted in the Air Force in March 1951. He

First Lt. Patrick N. Delavan son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Delavan of Westend is returning to the United States under the Army's rotation policy for personnel in Korea. Delavan served as mountaineer platoon leader
in the 8th cavalry regiment of the 1st cavalry division. The veteranofficer arrived in Korea in September 1950. He won four Purple heart medals for wounds received in action, a bronze star medal and the Korean service ribbon with five campaign stars.
Richard C. White,21 son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh D. White of 1328 Avenue D,Yucaipa has been graduated from branch No. 1 sixth Army quartermaster food service school at Ft. Ord.
Pfc. Earl Underwood son of Mr. andn Mrs. B.R. Underwood,1183 Golondrina drive, a member of the 17th infantry regiment is helping guard the U. N. truce camp in Korea. The assignment followed a series of limited offensive operations in which the 17th captured "bloody ridge" on the central front.
Private Underwood entered the Army over 11 months ago, received basic training at Fort Ord. and arrived in Korea June 2,1951. While serving as a rifleman, he earned the combat infantryman badge and the Korean service ribbon with two campaign stars. He attended San Bernardino High school.
Santos Rames, son of Mrs. Jusses Ramos 112 Carotez Street, East Highlands, now serving with the 33rd field artillery battalion was recently promoted to the grade of sergeant. Sergeant Ramos attended school in East Highlands and Redlands. He entered the Army at San Bernardino, July 1948
He is the holder of the good conduct medal and the Army of Occupation medal for Germany.
First Lt. Julian S. Foster, 1642 Sierra way has been awarded the oak leaf cluster to the Purple heart medal for wounds received in Korean action. The cluster marks the second time that Foster has been wounded in action. The decoration was conferred at the 141st general hospial in southern Japan where Lieutenant Foster is a patient.
