He married Mildred Lyle in VA, CA 1784.  Archelaus appears in Bedford Co VA where he signed a Legislative Petition dated 21 November 1781 - Archelaus is known to have sold his land in Buckingham County to David Coupland.  A deed record found in Prince Edward County (Deed Book 1789-1816, pages 65-66, dated 19 January 1795) shows that David Coupland purchased the Tract of land of 130 acres in Buckingham from Archelaus Wheeler. Archelaus is listed in Personal Property Tax lists for the southern district of Bedford Co. VA from 1782 through 1791....he was qualified as Constable and Deputy Sheriff in 1787 in Bedford Co....In 1792 he is on tax list of John Adams, KY...In 1796 he is said to have removed to Green County on a delinquent tax list by the Sheriff of Madison Co, KY (The Kentucky Researcher, Volume 3, March 1965, page 5. Note: This statement raises a question about John Henry Wheeler from Virginia, if John A Wheeler is correct then where is all of John Henry Wheeler, family are they in Adair County or other parts unknown?
Is not ARCHELAUS WHEELER II his ggg grandfather? It appears to me that cousin John A. Wheeler must have been in error at

Carlis B. Wilson removed from Adair County, KY. in 1949 to Marion County IN, (Indianapolis), lived with his mother Blanche Wheeler.
Attended Manual High School, Indianapolis IN, and Utility Engineering Institute of Chicago IL.,
Church of God Institutes and a number of other bible and pastoral related programs. Ordained August 6, 1971., while pastoring in Indianapolis IN.  Was honored with a Doctor of Divinity Degree with University Bible Institute. Ordained Bishop in the Church of God with International Offices at Cleveland, Tennessee, U.S.A. July 29, 2000.

Carlis has been involved in radio ministry in the State of Kentucky and Indiana. Served on a number of State Boards and the State Council, District Youth and CE Director and District Overseer. Has ministered in churches throughout Indiana as well as State Campmeeting.
While pastoring at Shelbyville Indiana, He led the church in a building program, The  congregation erected a   6,212 sq. ft. Church and Christian Education Building; He was the building contractor, finance director as well as the pastor. The building stands today twenty five years later, (2001) on Columbus Road just pass the Shelbyville High School.

Carlis also worked fifteen years for John Sexton Foods, Indianapolis IN. In later years he worked  as a ASE Certified Technician.
