This indenture made and entered into this 2nd day of August Eighteen hundred and Sixty Eight between G. W. Garman and
Mary Ann his wife both of Metcalfe County Kentucky of the first part and James B. Garman of the County and State
aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the said G W & James B Garman by joint purchase of John M Garman
have become the owners of a certain tract of land lying upon the waters of the East Fork of Little Barren River in County and
State aforesaid and more particularly described in a deed from the said John M. Garman & wife to the said G W & James B
Garman as being in four tracts containing severally 156 acres, 150 acres, 100 acres and 33 acres and whereas in
consideration of the said J B Garman having paid his agreed part of the purchase price (to wit) seven hundred and fifty dollars
to the said John M Garman and for the further consideration the the said parties having agreed to divide the aforesaid tract of
land and the said J B Garman having this day by deed of conveyance si(g?)ned as to this made a transfer of title and
ownership as therein expressed Now in consideration of the foregoing premises Witnesseth that the said G W Garman & wife
have this day granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said J B Garman his
heirs and assigns forever their entire interest in that portion of the aforesaid tract or tracts of land particularly described as
follows. Viz Beginning at a Hickory and Elm in the Westardly line of the aforesaid 156 acre survey and is near to the said G
W Garman Thence with the division line of same N 63 1/2 East 110 poles to a Stone Thence North 30 1/2 West 26 poles to
Black walnut Hickory & Elm on bluff of branch Thence up branch North 113 East 24 1/2 poles to an Elm Thence North 60
East 185 poles to a large and small Chestnut Oak in a line of aforesaid 150 acres survery Thence with the line of same North
41 E 76 poles to three Poplars (two dead) corner to same. Thence with a line of E. L. Wisdom South 59 West 14 poles to a
chestnut oak and hickory corner to same. Thence another line of same W 110 poles to a sugar tree on a hill-side call sugar
tree beech and elm thence South 73 West 62 poles to a white oak and Elm Thence South 10 East with James Lasleys old line
46 poles to two white oaks his corner thence with another line of his South 80 West 80 poles to a Whit Oak and corner of
one hundred acre survey White oak and Black ash on west bank of creek in line of 156 acre survey at 98 poles and with line
of same to the beginning containing 209 1/2 acres be the same

more or less. To have and to hold the same with all the appertainances thereunto belonging unto the said grantee his heirs and
assigns forever the grantors coveting that they will forever warrant and defend the title of the property hereby conveyed to be
free from their own and all other claims whatever in testimony whereof the said grantors have hereunto set their hands, and
seals this August 26th 1868.

Mary A. to James B Garman was this day produced to me duly stamped so required by act of congress and acknowledged
by Geo W Garman to be his act and deed and his wife Mary A Garman voluntarily acknowledged the same according to law
- Whereupon the same and this certificate is recorded in my office Given under my hand August 27th 1868

This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of August Eighteen hundred & sixty eight between J B Garman and
Margaret his wife both of Metcalfe County Kentucky of the first part and George W Garman of County and State aforesaid
of the second part. Witnesseth that whereas the same J B & G W Garman by joint purchase of John M Garman become the
owners of a certain tract or parcel of land lying upon the waters of the East Fork of Little Barren River in the County and state
aforsaid and particularly described in a deed made to the said J B & G W Garman by the said John M. Garman as being in
four tracts one being 156 acres one 100 acres one 150 acres one 33 acres and whereas the said parties have agreed to
divide the aforsaid tracts or parcels of land. I(n) consideration of the said G. W. Garman having paid to the said John M.
Garman his agreed part of the purchase money (viz) one thousand & fifty dollars now . Therefore the said Jas. B. Garman &
Wife in consideration of a deed conveyance issued as to this made to them this day have this day granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said G W Garman (bottom line on this page did not

In the westardly line of the aforesaid 156 acre survey ________ division line North 63 1/2 East 110 poles to a stone Thence
North 30 1/2 West 26 poles to a Black walnut Buckeye & Elm on a high bank Thence up a branch North 43 East 24 1/2
poles to a red Elm thence North 60 East 185 poles to a large and small Chestnut Oak in a line of aforsaid 150 acre survey
thence to the line of same. S 41 E 138 poles to a Maple and Hickory at the head of a hollow. Beginning corner to said 150
acre survey supposed to be near the line of a 1000 acre survey made in the name of Elijah King thence another line of 150
acre survey South 17 1/2 West 55 poles to a slipery Elm Black walnut and Beech corner to same. Thence another line of
same North 80 West 80 poles to a Hickory and small Black Jack near a road corner to same. Thence another line of same.
N 41 West 81 poles to two beeches and a Red Oak. Corner to Bullington and corner to aforsaid 33 acres survey. Thence a
line of same - South 74 West 30 poles to two black ashes and Walnut sapling corner to aforsaid 156 acre survey - Thence in
a line of same - South 17 East 140 poles to a line of survey of 44 acres sold to M T C Madison now owned by William
Lloyd. Thence the lines of same South 74 West 108 poles to a sycamore - mouth of cave near the creek another corner to 44
acre survey Thence another line of same N 33 West 16 poles to another corner of same on a high bluff or bank Thence with
another line of same South 55 West 74 poles 74 poles to a chestnut Oak and Hickory another corner to same in the line of
aforsaid 156 acre survey Thence with the line of same South 73 West 126 poles to the Beginning containing two hundred &
Sixty two and a half acres by survey be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same boundery of land together with
all the purtenances there unto belonging unto the said grantees his heirs and assigns forever the grantor conveting that they will
forever warrant and defend the title of the property hereby conveyed to be free from their own and all other claims
whatsoever in Testimony whereof the said grantors have hereunto set their hands & seals this August 26th 1868.
