FAMILY OF SAMUEL MERRELL AND WIFE SUSANNAH

SAMUEL MERRILL was born 1748 in New Jersey-Rev. War PS-NC, and died 1803 in Rowan County, North Carolina.  He married SUSANNAH before 1774 in Rowan County, North Carolina.  She was born about 1748. Per Pat Trask , Samuel was a Revolutionary War soldier and they resided in Rowan County, North Carolina.  Samuel's will is in Will Book G:11 Page 5 or 11?  Samuel was a weaver.

FAMILY OF JOHN MERRELL AND MARY WISEMAN

JOHN MERRILL was born December 11, 1750 in New Jersey.  He served as a lieutenant during the Revolutionary War from North Carolina.  He was a blacksmith & farmer-resided Wilkes & Hancock counties,  GA, and died October 26, 1838 in Monroe County, Mississippi.  He married MARY WISEMAN January 21, 1773 in Rowan County, North Carolina-bond Garshom Hunt; wit. Max. Chambers.  She was born 1753 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

FAMILY OF ANDREW MERRELL AND RACHEL WISEMAN

ANDREW MERRILL was born 1751 in New Jersey, and died between 1826 - 1829 in Giles County, Tennessee.  He married (1) NANCY.    He married (2) RACHEL WISEMAN January 21, 1773.  She was born about 1755 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.  According to Pat Trask , Andrew was a Revolutionary War soldier.  They lived first in Rowan County, North Carolina.  His family later moved to Mississippi and Giles County, Tennessee, when Andrew died in 1826 (one report said he was killed).

FAMILY OF WILLIAM MERRELL AND SALLY HADEN

WILLIAM MERRILL was born 1754 in New Jersey-served as a drummer from North Carolina during the Revolutionary War.  He died July 28, 1803 in Alabama?.  He married SALLY HADEN, daughter of WILLIAM HADEN.  She was born Abt. 1753.  Per Pat Trask, this family moved to Clark County, Alabama before 1813.  These last three were listed in the Douglas Register, pg. 98.  There was a Sarah Phillips, a daughter of Mrs. Sarah Merrill killed in 1813 Clarke County, Alabama in an Indian raid.
