Ancestry.com
-
The site where we have done most of
our research, in addition to
personal records and records found
elsewhere. This subscription
has been worth every penny. We
maintain our family tree here, and
download our Gedcom file from it
periodically, when needed.

USGenweb.org

This is a great collection of
information by county within each
state, and it is free to use.
It has been compiled by volunteers,
and it has been a wonderful way for
us to find additional information on
the web. Lookup volunteers are
available in most counties.
-
Rootsweb.com
-
This is not only a great research
site, but it is also a great place
to upload your Gedcom file and
establish a family genealogy site,
and it's all free! Approval is
required to obtain a Freepages site.

You can also add your own family members and others here, as
well as drop by to "leave flowers" on someone's listing. Many volunteers
are sharing information here now from gravesites and obituaries. This is a
really great site!
