    William the eldest son, had issue - Clement and Elizabeth Miners, and was buried at Chew-Magna, the 23 day of February Anno Domini, 1585; and lies interred in the Priests Chancell, about four foot from the wall, with this inscription "heir (  )eth (  )m Myner (  ) of (  )psh (  ) obiit xxiii febru' mdlxxxv;", this and no more legible upon the stone, with the coat expressed in the margin, at this sign *, but by the records the registers of the said church, it is evident that his name was William Myner, they both agreeing in the same date and palce, and must needs have been the head of the same family, as by the paternal coat clearly appears.

   From Early New England Pendletons: He matriculated at Oxford in 1547-48. He
was a very flexible clergyman. First a Catholic, he became a Protestant upon the
accession of King Edward VI, but switched back under the Catholic rulers, Philip
and Mary, who gave him a vicarage at Eccles, near Manchester. Under Queen
Elizabeth he again became a Protestant.

   He was called by a person named Wood "the famous schoolmaster of
Manchester, in Lancashire, who was admitted at Oxford to the reading of anybook of the Faculty of Grammar, and to the degree of Bachelor of Grammar,
being incorporated of Oxford in 1547."

    Richard Billing, the eldest son of Roger Billing and called Richard the elder, removed to Taunton, where he married Elizabeth, daughter of Ebenezer Strong of that place, and was possessed of landed property. In his will he made bequests for the reparation of the C hurch of St. James, in Taunton, to the poor of that parish and of Baltonsborough, and left twenty shillings to his brother Richerd (the younger) to make him a ring in rememberance of him.
