The original First Navidad Baptist Church building was located due west of the entrance at the southwest corner of the cemetery. The building was about 20 X 30 feet, made of vertical board siding and battens. There are two depressions at the southwest corner of the property, which are believed to be former water wells. Later, in about 1875 according to theory, a second church building about 24 X 40 feet, which was a two-story combination church and school was built about 100 feet north of the original site.
