Irene Wood, 62, of Rt. 1, Goldsboro, died Friday in Britthaven Nursing Center in Kinston.
She was born in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nettie Bell Grady.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.R. Holder officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband William H. Wood; three sons, Dickie Grady and William Henry Wood Jr. of Goldsboro, and Roy Phelps of Massachusetts; three brothers, T.C. Grady of Goldsboro, Bill Grady of Warsaw and J.T. Grady of LaGrange; two sisters Ernestine Summerlin of Albertson and Olive Jones of LaGrange; and seven grandchildren.
Irene Grady Wood is buried at Wayne Memorial Park which is located south of Goldsboro, NC, near the intersection of NC Highway 13 and 117:
