Maybelle Jones Mooring - Obituary published in the Goldsboro News-Argus on Sunday, June 26, 1994:

Mrs. Maybelle Jones Mooring, 72, of 210 Creech St., died Friday (June 24, 1994) at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late George Jones and Estelle Sasser Jones and the widow of James Blaney Mooring Sr. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday School and was a retired sales clerk at Belk's.

Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at the Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Sasser-Talton Cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda M. Rollins of Goldsboro, Ruth M. Price of White Lake and Rose M. Wood of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Kenneth Mooring of Washington and Donald Mooring of Goldsboro; a step-daughter, Helen Reynolds of Allentown, Fla.; two step-sons, William (Bill) Mooring of South Dakota and J.B. Mooring Jr. of Rocky Mount; three sisters, Effie Bunn and Pauline Bunn of Raleigh, and Myrtle Womack of Zebulon; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 1071 Gurley Dairy Road, Pikeville, N.C., 27863, or Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 1806 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 925, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rollins, 892 Hwy. 581 North, Goldsboro.
