PRINCETON -- The funeral for Ruby Parnell Braswell, 86, of Smithfield Manor Nursing Center, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hephzibah Baptist Church. The Reverends Dennis Pollock and Bill Littleton will officiate Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Braswell died Thursday. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pineah Wood Parnell and was the widow of Richard I. Braswell.
She is survived by a son, James A. Braswell of Smithfield; three daughters, Geraldine Barnes of Richmond, Va., Evelyn B. Creech of Princeton and Annette B. Rose of Smithfield; a brother, Lawrence Parnell of Four Oaks; three sisters, Lucille smith and Gladys Moye of Smithfield, Viola Radford of Rocky Mount; and six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
