THELMA W. ETHERIDGE

Thelma Wood Etheridge, 76, of W. Paul Street, died today at her sister's home in Middlesex.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating.

Mrs. Etheridge was born in Duplin County, was the daughter of the late Elmon and Nellie Belle Brown Wood, and was married to the late James H. Etheridge.  She was employed with General Electric for 37 1/2 years.

She is survived by a son, James Wyman "Jamie" Etheridge of the home; a brother, William Henry Wood of Goldsboro; a sister, Betsy Wood Woodard of Middlesex; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro.

Thelma Wood Etheridge is buried at Wayne Memorial Park which is located south of Goldsboro, NC, near the intersection of NC Highway 13 and 117:
