William H. Wood - Obituary published in the Goldsboro News-Argus, July 30, 2004:
William Henry Wood, 78, of 2101-A Stevens Mill Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late Elmond and Nellie Belle Brown Wood, husband of the late Irene Grady Wood, and brother to the late Reuben L. Wood and Thelma Irene Etheridge.
Mr. Wood is survived by two sons, Henry Wood Jr. and Dickie W. Grady of Goldsboro; two daughters, Cindy Wood Mitchell and Linda Wood Miller of Goldsboro; one sister, Betsy Woodard of Kenly; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Holder officiating.
Family members will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Flowers are acceptable and memorial gifts may be directed to the El-Bethel Assembly, 2308 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
