E2 -Line Sebastian and Mary (SAYLOR) NAFF

John W. Boitnott did the original research on the E-Line. In his book, "Naff and Related Families," he says that Jacob (E1) and Sebastian (E2) were brothers and sons of Jacob NAFF and Anna Elernopage. I have not proven either statement. They appear first in Lancaster Co. PA. tax rolls after 1757. If they came to PA in 1749 on the Ship Dragon, their father was no doubt the Jacob who signed the ship list. Both Jacob E1 and Sebastian E2 were too young to sign. (see the E1-Line.)

.E2 Sebastian NAFF was born 1745. This year is figured from his confirmation in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulpehochen, Berks, Co on Whitsunday 1768 that gives his age as 22 and ½ years of age. This family joined the Church of the Brethren. Sebastian died 1803 in Franklin Co., VA. He married Mary SAYLOR in Lancaster Co PA. She was born 30 August 1748 in Lancaster Co., PA. She was the daughter of Daniel SEILOR/SAYLOR and Hannah GARBER. This family moved from Lancaster Co., to Frederick Co., MD with the Daniel Saylor family where Daniel Saylor died. Sebastian served as executor of Daniel’s will. He took his family and followed Jacob E1 on to Franklin Co., VA. Known children of Sebastian NAFF and Mary SAYLOR are in generation 2.

.E21 Abraham NAFF was born 22 February 1768 in Lancaster Co, PA. Abraham died 12 December 1839 in Preble Co, OH. He married Catherine 'Katy' SAYLOR. She was born 1736. She was the daughter of Christian SEILOR and Elizabeth ?. Known children of Abraham NAFF and Catherine 'Katy' SAYLOR are in generation 3.

.E22 Catherina NEFF was born 1769. Catherina died August 1853 in Preble Co, OH. She married Samuel TEAL 21 November 1781 in Frederick Co, MD. He was born in MD. Samuel died 1819 in Preble Co, OH. Known children of Catherina NEFF and Samuel TEAL are in generation 3.

.E23 Daniel NEFF was born in PA or MD. Daniel died in Logansport, IN?. He married Polly LOGAN 28 September 1795 in Franklin Co VA. She was the daughter of William LOGAN. Known children of Daniel NEFF and Polly LOGAN are in generation 3.

.E24 Jacob NEFF was born in Frederick Co MD. Jacob died 11 June 1845 in Logansport IN, and was buried in St Johns cem/Log. He married Polly RENTFRO 24 June 1795 in Franklin Co VA. She was born in Franklin Co VA. She was the daughter of Moses RENTFRO and Elizabeth TURPIN. Polly died 1 September 1834 in Logansport IN, and was buried in St Johns cem/Log. Known children of Jacob NEFF and Polly RENTFRO are in generation 3.

.E211 Sebastian "Bastian" NEFF was born 16 November 1797 in Franklin Co, VA. Sebastian died 3 November 1869 in Wayne Co, IN, and was buried in Bryan's Chapel c, Wayne Co, IN. He married Catherine SAILOR 16 June 1819. She was born 20 July 1799 in Frederick Co, MD. Catherine died 3 May 1872 in Wayne Co, IN. They had 9 children.

.E212 Christian NAFF was born 18 October 1799 in Franklin Co VA. Christian died 23 November 1863 in Lanier Twp. Preble Co, OH. He married (1) Elizabeth SINKS 26 January 1823. They had 3 children. Christian married (2) Mary Magdalena SAYLOR 19 April 1838 in Preble Co OH. She was born 1818 in OH. They had 6 children.

He married (1) Mary Ann GRIMES 30 May 1822 in Dayton, Montgomery Co, OH. She was born 29 November 1802 in Montgomery Co, OH. She was the daughter of William Hibbs GRIMES and Elizabeth GRIMES. She was the daughter of Joseph HOFFMAN and Susannah LIMBERT They had 6 children. Jacob married (2) Margaret WAMPLER 25 September 1860. They had 4 children.

Abraham died 1825 in Preble Co, OH.

He was the son of Samuel TEAL and Catherina NEFF.
