See NEFF NEWS February 1996; Purchased the Wheel Pump Inn in Springfield Twp. Philadelphia Co., PA (now Montgomery Co., PA) from David Reynolds on 15 Apr 1750. Phila Deed Book G-12, pg. 226. Will proven 12 April 1757. Besides an innkeeper, will states his occupation was "corwainer" or boot maker. The inn is still in business on the Bethlehem Pike between Flourtown and Germantown, PA.

Death record from St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church register. Gives date of death as 31 March 1756, age 38 years. Wife named in will, Anna Barbara, and minor son Jacob.

Jacob was named as a minor in Father's will. Innkeeper and tanner at the site of his father's inn. Will dated 12 Jun 1784, proven 6 Oct 1784, Philadelphia Co., PA Will Book Q, page 462. From the will Jacob Jr. is the oldest and Susanna is the younger. Both children under age of 21.

.W11 Jacob NEFF was born about 1770 in Philadelphia Co., PA, Springfield Twp., (Montgomery Co.). Jacob died after 1824.

 

The partition of his father's estate took place in 1803. Both Jacob Jr. and his sister Susanna were over 21. Jacob got the Inn (tavernhouse), originally belonging to his grandfather Sebastian, which he sold to a William Rex on 1 Jun 1824.

Susanna died 6 December 1865 in Montgomery Co., PA, Springfield Twp, and was buried in Montgomery Co., PA, Springfield Twp., Geakel Bury Ground. She married Abraham HEYDRICK 11 July 1803. He was born 18 May 1779 in Philadelphia Co., PA. He was the son of Abraham HEYDRICK and Susanna YEAKLE. Abraham died 16 June 1866 in Montgomery Co., PA, Springfield Twp, and was buried in Montgomery Co., PA, Springfield Twp., Geakel Bury Ground. Known children of Susanna NEFF and Abraham HEYDRICK are.
