Amelia or Emilia Albertina Timmreck

Note: She was the sister of Pauline (Timmreck) Murschel, according to Pauline's obituary, which states she had a sister, Mrs. Charles Rastke of Benton Harbor.

Note: Her death record information, obtained September 9, 2009, gives her parents which match the parents of Fred Timreck who lived first in Berrien Co, MI and later in LaPorte Co, IN.

Note: In her daughter Alvina's obituary information it mentions those who attended Alvina's funeral, including Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmerick, Franz? Krieger of Michigan City [Indiana]. This might be the proof needed to connect Amelia Timmreck with Fred Timmreck (who died in 1908).

Note: The obituary of Fred Timmreck who died in 1908 stated he had a sister Mrs. Charles Retsecke of Benton Harbor, MI. Is this the correct person? Her maiden name is certainly Timmreck.

One thing that does not match is that this person's obituary states she was the youngest in the family, but if her birthdate is correct, she was older than Fred Timmreck who died in 1908.

In the 1910 census of Berrien Co, MI, this seemed to be the only possible family with a first name of Charles and last name starting with an R in Berrien Co, MI.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BIRTH:
Note: Per her husband's obituary, she was born Pomeren [sic], Germany.
Note: Per her death record, she died 17 Mar 1930, age 73 years 5 months, this calculates to born about 17 Oct 1856.
Note: Per her obituary she was born 30 Sep 1856.
Note: Per her death record, her parents were John Timmerick who was born in Canada and Caroline Bergman who was born in Germany. It is highly unlikely that her father was born in Canada. All census records state her father was born in Germany.

MARRIAGE: Per her husband's obituary, they were married April 22, 1881 in Germany.

IMMIGRATION:
Note: Per the 1900 census, no immigration information given.
Note: Per the 1910 census, immigrated 1892.
Note: Per the 1920 census, no immigration information given, naturalized 1895.
Note: Per the 1930 census, immigrated 1891.

IMMIGRATION: She immigrated with her husband on April 20, 1892, see husband's notes.

DEATH: Received the following death record information via email dated 9 Sep 2009, from William Brackett, volunteer lookup person, Berrien Co, MI:
Pat: I went to the clerk's this morning and this is what the death record says:

Amelia Albertina Roskie died on 17 Mar 1930 of myocarditis. According to this record she was born in Germany and her occupation was "housework". She was white, female and married. She was 73 years and 5 months old when she died Her father was John Timmerick who was born in Canada and her mother was Caroline Bergman who was born in Germany. Bill.
