Hi Nick,
I'm sorry it has been a long time since I last contacted you, I thought you might like to share in what I have found.
I am have found the headstone of Amelia, wife of John Clemenshaw (that is how it is spelt) who died December 5th 1835 aged 63 years.
I have also found that her father served with the British forces at the battle of Lexington, American war of Independence.
I still haven't found any baptisms for John Adair, Charles or Julia or where their father John was born. (what a pity he died the year before the 1841census). If you have any copies of any census returns that you think I may find of interest, or anything else, could you send me details?
If you would like a picture of the headstone please let me know and the next time I visit the area I shall photograph it. I didn't take my camera last time I went as I wasn't looking for it.
I have noticed that there are some Cleminshaws in Bury (IGI) and feel it may be possible that a branch of that family came down as the Peel family came from the Bury area moving to Drayton Bassett at around that time (Robert Peel later becoming Prime Minister of England) Let me know what you think.

best wishes
Steve
