Unfortunately the records that I checked had a number of gaps but detailed below is the information that I managed to extract from the microfilms held as MF/RO 558/5 and MF/RO 559/1 at the Norwich Record s office.

John Keeler and Esther Hill had the following children :

John Keeler baptised 25^th February 1787

Charlotte Keeler born 22^nd December 1791 and baptised 24^th December 1791

George Bird (Oulton) married Charlotte Keeler 22^nd February 1814 at Corpusty Parish Church, in the presence of Mary Bird and Robert Keeler. The banns were read on 19^th December 1813, 2^nd January 1814 and 13^th February 1814 at Corpusty Parish Church and also on the 30^th January 6^th and 13^th February 1814 at Oulton Parish Church.

Robert Keeler born 23^rd February 1794 and baptised 7^th March 1794

Charlotte Keeler married John Jenkinson (Thurning) on 27^th October 1834 at Corpusty Parish Church witnessed by William Keeler. The banns were read 12^th October, 19^th October and 26^th October 1834.

Samuel Keeler born 9^th March 1796 and baptised 14^th March 1796

Priscilla Keeler baptised 11^th February 1798

Joseph Keeler baptised 3^rd March 1799

Joseph Keeler baptised 14^th March 1800

Joseph Keeler (Widower) aged 32 married Martha Westney (Singlewoman) on 27^th October 1832. at Corpusty Parish Church. The banns were read on 23^rd September 1832, 30^th September 1832 and 7^th October 1832 at Corpusty Parish Church.

It appears that Joseph had already married a Barbara ? and had the following children :

Mary Keeler baptised 28^th July 1822, buried 20^th November 1836 aged 14.

Richard Keeler baptised 6^th March 1825, buried 13^th December 1827 aged nearly 3.

Richard Keeler baptised 29^th March 1829, buried 24^th February 1830 infant.

Barbara Keeler (wife of Joseph) buried 2^nd May 1830 aged 36 years.

Joseph and Martha Keeler had the following children :

William baptised 11^th March 1833

John baptised 31^st May 1831

Susannah Elizabeth baptised 22^nd May 1836

Stephen John baptised 22^nd July 1838

Hannah Mary baptised 7^th March 1841. Hannah Mary Keeler (23) and Robert Howmans or Thomas (22) had their banns read on 7^th February, 14^th February and 24^th February 1863. They were married on 19th March 1863. There is an entry for the following child which I believe is Hannah’s :

Thomas Henry Keeler baptised 8^th November 1863 mother Hannah Mary Keeler (no father!)

Richard Henry baptised 4^th June 1843

Emma Maria baptised 26^th July 1846.Emma Maria Keeler (aged 21) married William Wilkin (aged 22 Bricklayer) on 2^nd November 1866, witnessed by William Wilkin (Blacksmith) and Joseph Keeler. Their banns were read on 7^th October and 14^th October 1866.

Walter Robert baptised 7^th July 1850

Caroline Sarah baptised 7^th July 1850

Samuel Jacob baptised 29^th January 1854, buried 5^th November 1855

Samuel Jacob baptised 28^th September 1856, buried 27^th February 1859

Joseph was buried 30^th November 1884 at Corpusty Parish Church aged 85

Martha was buried 30^th June 1888 at Corpusty Parish Church aged 73 (born 1815)

James Keeler buried 12^th February 1804

Esther Keeler buried 12^th April 1807

Esther Keeler wife of John Keeler buried 30^th August 1840 at Corpusty Parish Church , aged 77 (born c.1767), (no sign of burial of John Keeler?). This is the Keeler line from which I am descended.

William Keeler and Susannah Carter (Bloford) had their banns read at Corpusty Parish Church on 28^th November, 12^th December and 26^th December 1824 and were married late 1824 early 1825 (but not in Corpusty). They had the following children :

Edward Keeler baptised 10^th August 1827 (Edward may have moved to Jarrow with son Henry Jacob)

In 1847 a 19 year old Edward Keeler (possibly Edward above) married Caroline Horn (18 of Saxthorope) on 4^th July 1847 at Corpusty Parish Church, witnessed by William Keeler and John Horn. Their banns were read on 13^th June, 20^th June and 27^th June 1847. They had the following children :

Elizabeth Anne Keeler baptised 19^th June 1859

Louisa Keeler baptised 19^th June 1859 (these two baptised on same day as Ann Mary and Albert Keeler children of John and Mary Keeler)

Henry Jacob Keeler baptised 21^st July 1861 (married Annie Form on 15th February 1884 both lived in Potter Street, Jarrow. Was lodging in Jarrow in 1881 census as Jacob Keeler, Coalminer)

Emma Jane Keeler baptised 8^th May 1864

Elizabeth Keeler baptised 29^th March 1829, buried 10^th May 1830 aged 1.

Richard Keeler baptised 8^th August 1830

Susan Keeler aged 27 was buried 23^rd October 1831 – possibly Susannah above

William Keeler aged 27 was buried 16^th October 1835 – possibly William above

In 1829 Hannah Keeler was buried on 23^rd August aged 1 month (no baptism records)

In 1834 Susannah Elizabeth Keeler was baptised on 22^nd July, only her mother was named as Mary Keeler

In 1835 Stephen Keeler was buried on 16^th June as an infant (no baptism records)

John Keeler and Mary Jarvis (both 26) were married on the 20^th February 1852 at Corpusty Parish Church, witnessed by William Keeler. Their banns were read 28^th December 1851 and 4^th January 1852 at Corpusty Parish Church. There is an entry for the death of Mary Keeler aged 35 on 21^st April 1863. They had the following children :

Ann Mary Keeler baptised 19^th June 1859

Albert Keeler baptised 19^th June 1859, entry for burial of Albert Keeler dated 8^th May 1861 aged 6

Georgina Keeler baptised 5^th August 1860 (in the 1881 census she was a General Servant to Julia Ann Clark of Wood Dalling)

Henry Keeler and Sarah Ann Pinchin (Corpusty) had their banns read on 22^nd October, and 29^th October 1865. One child is mentioned in the register :

Mary Maria Keeler baptised 23^rd October 1868. Henry is mentioned as a miner from Oakensham, Durham.

John Keeler (widower aged 39) married Hannah Scottow (aged 23) on 25^th December 1864 (possibly same John as above) at Corpusty Parish Church, witnessed by William Keeler. Their banns were read on 30^th October, 13^th November and 20^th November 1864. They had the following children :

Arthur Keeler baptised 28^th January 1866

Edward Keeler baptised 13^th February 1869

Richard Keeler baptised 26^th January 1876 (born 1870 from 1881 census)

Hannah Mary Keeler baptised 26^th January 1876 (born 1872 from 1881 census)

Anna Jane Keeler baptised 26^th January 1876 (It appears that these three although baptised on the same day were not triplets!)

Mary Susannah Keeler born about 1878 in Corpusty. Mary Susannah Keeler (aged 20) married Alfred White (aged 24) on 21^st October 1897, witnessed by John Keeler and David White. Their banns were read on 26^th September, 3^rd October and 10^th October 1897.

John Keeler aged 73 died 4^th September 1898.

Richard Keeler (labourer aged 18, may be the Richard Keeler baptised on 26^th January 1876) married Laura Jane Grand (aged 23) on 11th July 1888 at Corpusty Parish Church. Witnessed by John Keeler. Their banns were read on 24^th June, 1^st July and 8^th July 1888. They possibly had the following children :

Jane Elizabeth Keeler baptised 12^th March 1893

? Cloudlesley Grand Keeler born about 1890 mentioned on the war memorial in Corpusty Parish Church as having died 27^th April 1917 aged 28 as Lance Corporal. From the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website Private 23/335 25^th (Tyneside Irish) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, son of Richard Keeler, husband of Lilley Keeler, died Monday 9^th April 1917 aged 27. Buried at Bailleul Road East Cemetery, St Laurent-Blangy, Pas de Calais. He had previoulsy served with the Yorkshire Regiment and joined the army on the 20th April 1910 but was discharged 2 months later due to "not being likley to become an efficient soldier".

In 1895 Edward Keeler was buried on 12^th December aged 29 (born about 1866 – no other records)

In 1912 Walter Keeler (Aylsham) was buried on 11^th February aged 62 (born about 1850 – no other records, possibly Walter Robert Keeler, son of Joseph & Martha on page 1)

The following records are from gravestones in Saxthorpe Graveyard itself :

Horace Keeler 1907 – 1994 & Doris Elizabeth Keeler 1909 – 1994 buried 8^th April 1994, apparently they both died of natural causes within a week of each other.

Arthur Keeler buried 6^th June 1975 aged 74 and Alice Keeler buried 15^th January 1994 aged 87.

Pat (patrick?) Keeler buried 29^th March 1969 – no age given
