Links to Genealogical Resources on the Internet

There are a vast number of Internet sites now dedicated to sharing Genealogical information. I list a few of them here that I have found very useful, and indicate their use.

Family History Keeler Message Board – Link to a Keeler Message Board on FamilyHistory.com

GenForum Keeler Message Board – Link to a Keeler Message Board on genforum.genealogy.com

Family Search – The IGI site run by the Church of Later Day Saints, allow you to enter details of the name you are searching for and area of interest (a lot of UK information here)

World Connect at Rootsweb – Another great Genealogy website that allows access to a lot of free information. This site allow you to search an index of more than 360,000,000 entries that researchers have submitted. I have extended my family tree greatly using this site, just type in your surname and area of interest and away you go.

The Federation of Family History Societies – is a good place to start with your investigations into British Genealogy. It also has links to individual county sites which can be excellent.

Yahoo's Genealogy Site Yahoos excellent Genealogy Site with links to numerous other sites, you can really get lost here.

Norfolk Family History Society – Link to Norfolk Genealogical resources

The Keiller Archives – Link to The Keeler Archives where there is some useful overview information

and others too numerous to mention. the links above should give you a good starter for your trawl around the internet. there are also numerous bulletin boards and message services that you can subscribe to relating to a particular surname or place.
