The following information is a collation from the Oulton Parish records, I GI and Census information of 1851 and 1881

The Keeler family of Oulton, Norfolk

The following information is a collation from the Oulton Parish records, IGI and Census information of 1851 and 1881. There have been some assumptions made but where I am unsure of the link I have made that clear. This work will need to be further enhanced once I have had feedback from interested parties and I have yet to check the burials register for Oulton.

Thomas Keeler married Ursula Barrell on 31st January 1758, with their banns being read on the 15th 22nd and 29 th January.
In the records of the Oulton Independant Church on the IGIU (Batch C075171) there are entries for the following children under the name Keler with the father being Thomas and mother Ursly:
Ursley Keler Christened 7th January 1760
Daniel Keler Christened 2nd March 1761
Ann Keler christened 3rd May 1762
Mary Keler christened 30th January 1766
Elizabeth Keler christened 8th february 1767
Martha Keler christened 20th November 1768
Ursula Keeler (singlewoman probably the daughter of Thomas Keeler and Ursula Barrell) married Matthew Bowman on the 27th August 1780 in the presence of John Bolven and Tobias Field. Their banns were read on the 13th 20th and 27th of August.
There is record of another Thomas baptised on 23rd July 1775 which could be the last child of Thomas and Ursula. She apparently died in childbirth on 20th July 1775. This child died later on 21st April 1776
Thomas Keeler then married Mary Martin and they had Thomas mentioned as 1 below
There is a gravestone of a Thomas Keeler who died 18th May 1803 aged 66 in Oulton churchyard with the inscription "In hope of blessed resurection and eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ here lieth the body of Thomas Keeler late of this parish who died May 18th 1803 aged 66 years".
Mary Keeler married Henry Bird on 29th November 1803, with their banns read on 13th 20th and 27th November. This Mary Keeler could be the widow of Thomas Keeler who were married 1st December 1775 as mentioned above.

1 Thomas Keeler born about 1778 (there is an entry for a Thomas Keeler born 10th January 1779 in Oulton, son of Thomas Keeler and Mary Martins who were married on 1st December 1775 (in the presence of John Bolven and Tobias Field) that may be this Thomas). He married Ann Bird on 29th November 1803 at Oulton, with their banns being read on the 13th 20th and 27th of November. She was born about 1782 in Oulton. In Oulton churchyard there is a gravestone of Thomas Keeler who died 31st August 1849 aged 70 "Sacred to the memory of Thomas Keeler who departed this life the 31st August 1849 aged 70 (unread verse)". There is also a gravestone for Ann Keeler who died 23rd December 1824 aged 43 "Loving memory of Ann the wife of Thomas Keeler who died the 23rd of Dec 1824 aged 43 years, 'O evil death, a loving wife and tender mother dear, Great was the loss to those she left behind, In heaven we hope ......". Also a gravestone for Mary Keeler, second wife of Thomas, who died 25th April 1865 aged 83 "In loving memory of Mary second wife of Thomas Keeler who died April 23rd 1865 aged 83 years" In the 1851 Census there is a Mary Keeler, aged 69 a widow, lodging at the home of James Pole in Oulton. Thomas and Ann had the following children :

1.1 Anne Keeler born 13th April 1803 (or 1806) , and baptised on April 20th. She married Samuel Bramble 6th November 1827 (IGI 8815331/42), in the presence of Martha Keeler.

1.1.1 William Bramble christened 12th January 1834 at Oulton Independant Church.

1.2 Mary Keeler baptised 19th August 1804. She married James Nickols 15th June 1834 (IGI 8815331/53), in the presence of Henry and Mary Bird.

1.3 Thomas Keeler born 30th December 1807, and baptised 8th January 1808 in Oulton. He married Lydia Bambridge (from Corpusty) on 29th June 1830 (IGI 8815331/50). In the 1851 census they were living at Oulton and Thomas was a Mole catcher. In the book "Return of owners of land in Norfolk in 1873" there is a Thomas Keeler in Oulton owning 4 acres, 1 Rod and 39 perches with a gross estimated rental of £20 15 shillings. Thomas died 5th March 1877 aged 69 years. In the 1881 census Lydia was mentioned as a Farmer. In the 1881 census she also had a William Keeler (grandson aged 16) and Kezia Keeler (granddaughter aged 10) staying with her. (A George Keeler aged 21 appears in the 1881 census living in Oulton as a Mole catcher, he was married to Angelina from Lowestoft, and they had an 11 month old daughter called Lillian Maria born 15th May 1880 he may be linked to this line although there is no birth record for him and William G Keeler (researcher) suggests that William, Kezia (Rezia) and George were siblings?). Lydia died 6th May 1881 aged 70 years. Their gravestone is in Oulton churchyard (photo available)with the inscriptio "Weep not dear wife but be content, For unto you I was but lent, As I am now so you must be, Prepare yourself to follow me". They had the following children all baptised in Oulton :

1.3.1 Anne Maria Keeler baptised 4th July 1830, in the 1881 census she was a dressmaker living with her mother Lydia. (In the Oulton Parish records there is an entry for a George Keeler born 19th April 1851 with a mother of Anne Maria Keeler (singlewoman) and no father may be linked here?). In the 1891 census there is an entry for Ann M Keeler a 60 year old dress maker living on her own in Oulton. In the 1911 Census she is 80 years old and still living at Oulton Street

1.3.2 Martha Keeler baptised 26th February 1832, no mention on the 1851 census (married or died?)

1.3.3 Elizabeth Keeler baptised 2nd March 1834 living with her parents in the 1851 census.

1.3.4 Susannah Keeler baptised 11th October 1835, living with her parents in 1851 census. Susanna Keeler married William Coe on 15th June 1855 (Aylsham 4b/137 in St Catherines Index). She was aged 20 a spinster with her father given as Thomas Keeler, molecatcher. William Coe was of full age, a bachelor and Carpenter, born in Oulton. His father was John Coe a labourer. Witnesses at the wedding were Thomas Keeler, Anne Maria Keeler and Elizabeth Keeler. They initially lived in Oulton where their first two children were born before moving to Buxton between 1866 and 1871. In the 1861 census they were living in North Walsham and William is a 35 year old maltster born in Oulton as were Susan, Elijah, Phebe and Emmialine. In the 1871 census they are in Buxton and William is a maltster. In the 1881 census they were living at 'Cottages' in Buxton, Norfolk where William was a maltsters labourer. In the 1911 Census she is a 75 year old widow still living in OUlton

1.3.4.1 Elijah Charles Coe was born about 1855 and in the 1871 census was living with his parents in Buxton working in the malt house. In the 1911 Census he was a Police pensioner living with his wife Emma from Stratton Strawless and they had been married for 28 years. They lived at London Road, Brandon, Suffolk.

1.3.4.1.1 Elsie Marion Coe was born about 1900 and in the 1911 she was 11 and was born in Finchley, London.

1.3.4.1.2 Albert Edward Coe was born about 1903 and in the 1911 he was 8 and was born in Finchley, London.

1.3.4.2 Phoebe Coe was born about 1857 and was baptised in 1874 in Buxton aged 17 (entry 433). In the 1871 census she was a 14 year old scholar. In 1883 she married Thomas Miller of Buxton (entry 237). In the 1911 Census he was a 50 year old blacksmith living in Buxton. They had the following children :

1.3.4.2.1 Marian Maud Miller was baptised in Buxton in 1885 (entry 633). In the 1901 Census she is still at home aged 15.

1.3.4.2.2 Elsie Mary Miller was baptised in Buxton in 1887 (entry 669).In the 1901 Census she is still at home aged 13.

1.3.4.2.3 George Ernest Miller was baptised in Buxton in 1889 (entry 709).In the 1901 Census he is still at home aged 11. In the 1911 Census he is a 21 year old blacksmith

1.3.4.2.4 Ethel Anna Miller was baptised in Buxton in 1891 (entry 745).In the 1901 Census she is still at home aged 9 called Annie.

1.3.4.2.5 Frederick William Miller was baptised in Buxton in 1894 (entry 773).In the 1901 Census he is still at home aged 7.In the 1911 Census he is a 21 year old blacksmith

1.3.4.2.6 Evelyn Miller born about 1898 in the 1901 census he is aged 3 and in 1911 is a scholar.

1.3.4.2.7 Bessie Miller born about 1900 in the 1901 census she is aged 3 and in 1911 is a scholar.

1.3.4.3 Emmaline Coe was born about 1860 in Oulton and was baptised in 1874 in Buxton aged 11 (entry 434). In the 1871 census she was an 11 year old scholar. In 1883 she married Robert Denis Harner of Barningham (banns entry 229).

1.3.4.4 (William) Ernest Coe was born about 1863 in Oulton. he was baptised in Buxton in 1874 aged 11 (entry 435). In the 1871 census he was an 8 year old scholar. in the 1881 Census he was an 18 year old carpenter living with his parents in Buxton.

1.3.4.5 Thomas John Coe was born about 1866 in Oulton. He was baptised in Buxton in 1874 aged 8 (entry 436). In the 1871 census he was a 5 year old scholar. In the 1881 Census he was a 15 year old Shoemaker living with his parents in Buxton.

1.3.4.6 Herbert James Coe was born and baptised in 1868 in Buxton. In the 1871 census he was a 3 year old.

1.3.4.7 Ethel Anne Coe was born and baptised about 1873 in Buxton (412)and in the 1881 Census she was an 8 year old scholar living with her parents in Buxton. In 1892 there is an entry for a child in the parish baptisms but no mention of the father.

1.3.4.7.1 Ernest Albert Coe baptised in 1892 (entry 786).

1.3.4.8 Robert Coe baptised and died same day in 1875 (entry 441).

1.3.4.9 Herbert Frederick Coe baptised in Buxton in 1876 (entry 462). He married Florence Alice E Joslyn borm 1st March 1876

1.3.4.10 Albert Ernest Coe was baptised in Buxton in 1882 (entry 567).In the 1901 census there is an Albert Coe aged 19 working as a carpenters assistant in Aylsham.

1.3.5 Thomas Keeler baptised 12th August 1838, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 census there is a Thomas Keeler living at 98 Platt Street in St Pancras, London. He is aged 39 and may be this Thomas although there is a discrepancy in the ages of 4 year. He is a Police Sergeant. His wife is Elizabeth (born in Hingham) and they have the following children. In the 1901 census there is a 68 year old Thomas as a farmer in Oulton living with his daughter Mary (born in St Pancras aged 21) as his housekeeper. In the 1911 Census he is 70 and widowed as a pensioner from the Met Ploice and now a farmer. He still lives with Mary who is now 29

1.3.5.1 Lydia Keeler born 1866 in Spitalfields, Middlesex occupation 1881 given as upholsteress

1.3.5.2 Thomas Keeler born about 1868 in Spitalfields, Middlesex as a scholar in 1881

1.3.5.3 Minnie Keeler born about 1870 in Epsom, Surrey, scholar in 1881.

1.3.5.4 Annie Keeler born about 1872 in Islington, Middlesex, scholar in 1881.

1.3.5.5 Mary Keeler born about 1879 in St Pancras, Middlesex, scholar in 1881.

1.3.6 Robert Keeler baptised 14th February 1841, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 census there is a Robert Keeler (born about 1841 in Oulton) living at Booton Road, Cawston. He was married to Elizabeth ? (aged 43) and his occupation was given as mole destroyer. In the 1901 census they were still living at Cawston and Robert is still a mole catcher. In the 1911 Census he is 68 and living with Eliza at Rose Villa Cawston. They had the following children living with them in 1881 census :

1.3.6.1 Walter Keeler born about 1863 (Oulton), occupation in 1881 mole destroyer. In the 1901 Census he is living in Cawston aged 36 with his sister? 34 year old Eliza, there are no children mentioned. In the 1911 Census he is 47 and still at home

1.3.6.2 Elizabeth A Keeler born about 1864 (Cawston), dressmaker in 1881. In the 1911 Cenus she is 44 and single at home.

1.3.7 Georgianna Keeler baptised 6th September 1846, living with her parents in 1851 census. In 1863 a Georgianna Matilda Keeler married Samuel Davidson born in Corpusty about 1843. In the 1911 Census she is a 65 year old widow living in Cawston.

1.3.7.1 Thomas Davidson born about 1870 in Cawston. Married Mary Ann Dix, also born about 1870 in Cawston, on 16th July 1888 in Aylsham Register Office.

1.3.7.1.1 Alfred Davidson born about 1888.

1.3.7.1.2 Ada Davidson born about 1892.

1.3.7.1.3 May Davidson born about 1895.

1.3.7.1.4 Thomas J Davidson born about July 1900

1.3.7.1.5 Elsie Davidson born 30th December 1901 in Aylsham. She married William Mafekin Kennedy (born 5th March 1900 in Brentford). Elsie died in 1991, William died in 1971.

1.4 John Keeler was born 6th September 1809 and baptised 10th September 1809 in Oulton. He married Hannah Jeary (born about 1813) on 3rd November 1833 (IGI 8815331/50). In the 1851 census his occupation was Mole Destroyer. John Keeler died 27th February 1884, and Hannah died 12th October 1872 aged 57. Their gravestone is in Oulton churchyard (photo available)with the following inscription "O evil death, A loving wife and tender mother dear, Great was the loss to those she left behind, In heaven we hope we spend our years as a tale that is told". They had the following children who were all born in Oulton :

1.4.1 John Keeler baptised 5th October 1834, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 census there is a John Keeler (born in 1834) married to a Sarah ?, living in Upgate on Common, Swannington. His occupation is given as Mole destroyer. They had the following children in Swannington :

1.4.1.1 George Keeler born about 1867, mole destroyer in 1881 census living with his parents.

1.4.1.2 William Keeler born about 1869, scholar in 1881 census living with his parents.

1.4.1.3 Mary Keeler born about 1873, scholar in 1881 census living with her parents.

1.4.1.4 Walter Keeler born about 1877, scholar in 1881 census living with his parents.

1.4.1.5 Susannah Keeler born about 1880, living with her parents in 1881 census.

1.4.2 William Keeler baptised 7th January 1838 in Oulton, living with his parents in 1851 census.

1.4.3 Cornelius Keeler baptised 18th August 1839 in Oulton, living with his parents in 1851 census.

1.4.4 Thomas Keeler baptised 9th August 1841, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 Census there is a Thomas Keeler born in Owton about 1841 living at Salters Lane, Trimdon, Durham. He is a General Dealer. His wife is Mary An (Peacock),born in Kelloe Durham. According to Frank Peacock they had no children but were successful in business. In the 1891 census there is a 50 year old Thomas Keeler living on his own means in Oulton?. They both died in Hartlepool

1.4.5 George Keeler was baptised 11th June 1843, living with his parents in 1851 census.( In the 1881 census there was a George Keeler born about 1846 living in neighbouring Horsford, his occupation was a mole catcher. His wife was Annie (aged 29 from Berghapton) and they had a son George W Keeler aged 3.)

1.5 Martha Keeler was born 21st January 1812 and baptised 26th January 1812 at Oulton. She married a William Coker of Oulton in 1839. In the 1851 census she was living with William and her family at White Horse Street in Fakenham. William Coker was a cordwainer. They had the following children :

1.5.1 Sophia Coker was born about 1842, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.5.2 William Coker was born about 1844, living with his parents in 1851 census.

1.5.3 Samuel Coker was born about 1848, living with his parents in 1851 census.

1.5.4 Anna M Coker was born in 1850, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.6 Maria Keeler was baptised 7th August 1814 and married Samuel Frost on 4th October 1836 (IGI 8815331/40). In the 1851 census they were living in West Road Oulton, Samuel was an agricultural labourer. They had the following children :

1.6.1 Sophia Frost was born about 1837, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.6.2 Ann Frost was born about 1839, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.6.3 Mary Frost was born about 1842, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.7 Sophia Keeler was born 16th April 1817 and baptised on the 25th April.

1.8 William Keeler was baptised 25th April 1819.

1.9 Henry Keeler was born in April 1829 and baptised on the 20th April. He married Maria ? (born about 1820 in Cawston). In the 1851 census they were living in Oulton and he was an agricultural labourer, according to the parish records he later became Parish Clerk. In the 1881 census they were living in Oulton with their son William (aged 19) and grandson Charles Hutchinson (aged 6 months). In the 1891 census there is an entry for a 67 year old Henry Keeler a retired publican and accountant as the father in law of Robert Golding living in Oulton. Henry and Maria had the following children :

1.9.1 Henry Keeler was baptised 19th march 1843, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 census Henry is married to Sarah Keeler from Corpusty and is living at 24 Middle Row, Plawsworth Durham. Henry is a 38 year old Coal Miner and his wife is 37. (In the parish records there are entries for two children born to Henry and Sarah Ann Keeler, they were Agnes Ann Keeler born 1st October 1871 , and Robert Henry Keeler born 7th September 1873 which supports the census entries)

1.9.1.1 Mary Keeler born about 1869 in Corpusty, a 12 year old scholar in the 1881 census.

1.9.1.2 Agnes Keeler born 1st October 1871 in Oulton, a 9 year old scholar in 1881 census.

1.9.1.3 Robert Keeler born 7th September 1873 in Oulton, a 7 year old scholar in 1881 census.

1.9.1.4 William Keeler born about 1876 in Nettlesworth, Durham, a 5 year old scholar in 1881 census.

1.9.1.5 Caroline Keeler born about 1879 in Nettlesworth, Durham, a 2 year old in 1881 census.

1.9.1.6 Roady Keeler (daughter) born in 1881 in Nettlesworth, Durham aged 1 month in 1881 census.

1.9.2 James Keeler was baptised 28th July 1844, living with his parents in 1851 census. In the 1881 census he appears married to Louisa (born about 1849) his occupation was a brick layer living on Blickling Road, Oulton.They had the following children. In the 1891 Census they had moved to the neighbouring parish of Itterigham and James was still a brick layer. In the 1901 Census they were living on Wolterton Road in Itterigham and James was 56 and Louisa 52.

1.9.2.1 Mimma (?) Keeler was born 2nd April 1871, no record in 1881 census.

1.9.2.2 Minnie Keeler was born 17th December 1872, no record in 1881 census.

1.9.2.3 Eli Keeler born 3rd May 1874, living with parents in 1881 census as a scholar. In 1891 he was a 17 year old brick layer

1.9.2.4 Faith Keeler born 25th June 1876, living with her parents in 1881 census as a scholar.In 1891 she was a 14 year old dress maker.

1.9.2.5 Eleanor Keeler was born 23rd December 1878, and baptised on 5th March 1876, no record in 1881 census.

1.9.2.6 Elial Keeler born 6th July 1880, living with her parents in 1881 census. In the 1891 census he appears as Lionel aged 11

1.9.2.7 Alice Keeler born in the March quarter of 1886, in Itteringham, a 5 year old scholar in the 1891 census. She was still at home in the 1901 census with no occupation.

1.9.2.8 James Keeler appears as a 3 year old born in Itteringham in the 1891 census. In the 1901 census he is recorded as Elijah J Keeler and is 13 years old and working as a Bricklayers apprentice (with his father).

1.9.2.9 Harry Keeler appears as a 2 year old born in Itteringham in the 1891 census. In the 1901 census he is recorded as Albert H Keeler and is 12 years old working as an Agricultrural Labourer.

1.9.2.10 Edgar Keeler appears as a scholar in the 1891 census, there is mention of an Edgar Keeler in 1912 at 1362 Royal Warwickshire regiment but living in Louth Licolnshirwe as a brick layer and had previoulsy served in the 4th Norfolk Regiment. He married a Mary Jane ? and was taken Prisoner of War in 1917 having been wounded in the arm and both legs in March 1917. They had a daughter called Faith Emily Keeler who died at 24 days in 1917, also Louisa who died aged 10 on 1st december 1918 of Influenza and Mary Alice Keeler aged 3 died 20th November 1918 of Influenza

1.9.3 Sophia Keeler was born 29th December 1845 and baptised on 8th February, living with her parents in 1851 census. There is a Sophia Keeler aged 14 living in the household of Henry and Caroline Bird in Itteringham in the 1861 census. (In the 1881 census there is a grandson of Henry and Maria Keeler called Charles Hutchinson living at their house in Oulton. He was 6 months old and was born in Hellesdon, Norfolk. It is possible that this was Sophia’s son?)

1.9.4 William Keeler was born 20th October 1847 and baptised 5th December. No record in 1851 census.

1.9.5 George Keeler was born 11th November 1849. No record in 1851 census. In the 1881 census there is a 30 year old George Keeler born in Oulton living at 6 & 8 Duke Street, Hedworth Monkton and Jarrow, Durham. He was Grocer and was married to Sophia who was 35 and born in Colthorpe, Norfolk. Henry, Mary and Eliza are mentioned but they are under the surname Jerry and aged 19, 16 and 12 so must be the result of a previous marriage. In the 1901 census George Keeler aged 51 and Sophia aged 55 are living in Holt and Georges occupation is given as a farmer.

1.9.6 Rhoda Keeler was born 11th April 1852.

1.9.7 Thomas Keeler was born 12th March 1854. In the 1881 census there is a 27 year old Thomas Keeler born in Oulton living at 296 & 298 High Street, Hedworth Monkton & Jarrow, Durham. He was a coal carter and was married to Mary who was 20 years old from Sporle in Norfolk. There are no children mentioned

1.9.8 Mary Keeler was born 10th February 1856.

1.9.9 John Keeler was born 11th April 1858.

1.9.10 Cornelius Keeler was born 15th April 1860.

1.9.11 William Keeler was born 29th December 1861 (as this is the second William it suggests that the William born in 1847 had died?). He appears in the 1881 census living with his parents in Oulton. The following information comes from Dave Anderson, he married Phyllis Anne Cubitt (nee Daniels) who was born 14th February 1862. She later became a ladies maid at Blickling Hall. William and Phylis emigrated to Canada on 26th July 1886 aboard S.S.Polytnesian and arrived in Quebec on 4th August. They had the following children :

1.9.11.6 Ernest Keeler born 11th February year unknown. He married Hazel Wallace and they had the following children :

1.9.11.7 George William Keeler born 25th December 1889, Windsor, Ontario. He worked for the Windsor Star and Detroit News for a number of years. He married Catherine Alidiath Berringer, who was born 5th October 1890 in Windsor. They married 15th June 1910 in the Salvation Army Citadel. They had two children :

1.9.11.7.1 Gordon Keeler born 4th October 1914. Was involved in a motor car accident when young but survived. He worked for the Ford Motor Company for a number of years and was an airforce pilot in World War two. He married Francis Williams, who was born 28th June 1920, on 20th September 1941. They had two children :

1.9.11.7.1.2 Larry Keeler born 31st August 1948

1.9.11.7.2 Phyllis Georgina Keeler born 25th January 1913 in Windsor, Ontario. Baptised 23rd January 1949 at All Saint’s Church, Windsor. She married ? and died 11th April 1994

1.9.12 Anna Keeler was born 31st January 1864.

1.10 George Keeler was baptised 21st December 1823. He married Harriet Field on 30th December 1845. Harriet was born about 1825 in Oulton. In the 1851 census they were living in Oulton and his occupation was a shoemaker. In the 1881 census they were still living in Oulton, George was a farmer of 20 acres with 1 boy and a shoemaker, also in the house were their son George (aged 12), granddaughter Anne Keeler (aged 5), Robert Smithson (lodger) and Joseph Coe (Visitor, Game Keeper and armer). In the 1891 census they were living in Oulton and George was still a farmer. In the 1901 census George is a 77 year old farmer living with his daughter Anne (now 51 as Housekeeper) George died on 11th January 1909 aged 85 and Harriet died on 19th June 1898 aged 66, their gravestone is in Oulton churchyard (photo available)"In loving memory of Harriet Keeler who died June 19th 1898 aged 66 years. Also of George her beloved husband who died Jan 11th 1909 aged 85 years". They had the following children :

1.10.1 Mary Keeler was born 21st April 1846 and baptised 5th March 1848, living with her parents in 1851 census.

1.10.2 Susannah Keeler was born 11th January 1848 and baptised 5th March 1848, living with her parents in 1851 census as Susan. It is believed she married James Thaxter of Blickling, in the 1881 census they are living at Guestwick with their 6 children born in a variety of villages as the family followed work.

1.10.3 Ann Keeler was born 1st December 1849 and baptised 3rd February 1850, living with her parents in 1851 census. In the 1891 census she was a 40 year old general domestic servant (with her children Annie (15) School Teacher and Charles (7) scholar). In 1901 Charles is a 17 year old Carpenter. She died 9th November 1926 aged 76 and her gravestone is at Oulton Parish Church (photo available).

1.10.4 Elizabeth Keeler was born 27th October 1851 and was baptised 7th December 1851.

1.10.5 William Keeler was born 3rd September 1854. (In the 1881 census there is a William Keeler aged 26 living at East Lodge Bylaugh with his wife Sarah, his occupation is given as Game Keeper, they had a 1 year old son called Frederick living with them).In the 1901 census they are still living at Bylaugh and William is still a gamekeeper. I have a picture of William Head Game Keeper at Bylaugh from a book by Neil Storey "A Photographic History 1860-1960"

1.10.5.1 Frederick Keeler was born about 1880.

1.10.5.2 Florence Keeler was born about 1887 in Bylaugh.

1.10.6 Hannah Keeler was born 22nd June 1856. In the 1881 census there is a 24 year old Hannah living as a servant to 91 year old Elizabeth Gervis living at Sidcot, Winscombe in Somerset which may be this Hannah. She married a ? Newland. She died 10th May 1933 aged 76. Her gravestone is at Oulton Parish Church (photo available) with the inscription "Peace perfect peace, make them to be numbered with thy saints". (There is a birth entry in the Parish records for a Anna Sophia Keeler born 13th December 1875 with the mother given as Hannah Keeler and no father, there is also another entry for Charles Keeler born 2nd November 1884 again with the mother Hannah Keeler but no father, may be a link here?) also 1901 census has Charles aged 17 living with Grandfather George in Oulton, he was a carpenter.

1.10.7 Sophia Keeler was born 8th April 1860.

1.10.8 George Griffith Keeler was born 6th December 1868. In the 1891 census George was a 22 year old farm servant. In the 1901 census he is still at his fathers house and is still a farm servant. He died 6th March 1928. His gravestone is at Oulton Parish Church with the inscription "Thy will be done " and he is buried with his sisters Ann and Hannah (Newland) (photo available).
